In 2017 I completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science with first class honours in Molecular and Cell Biology at UNSW. During my honours year I worked on protein aggregation and membrane trafficking in Parkinson’s Disease under A/Prof. Antony Cooper at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. I joined the David James’ lab in mid 2018 to gain a wider range of practical skills in a different environment, and to peruse my interests in cellular metabolism and signalling. Here I have been able to assist on many projects within cellular and animal models to investigate insulin signalling.
